Privacy Policy
Cat Insurance runs on advertising and a handful of well-known form, hosting, and analytics tools, and this page walks through what each one touches. Last updated 2026-07-08. Using this site means the practices below apply to you; if something here doesn't sit right, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
What the calculator does with your inputs
The premium estimator on the homepage runs entirely inside your browser. Your cat's age, coverage level, breed, and ZIP code stay on your device and are never sent to a server or logged anywhere on our end. Refresh the page and every value resets, because nothing was stored in the first place.
What happens when you fill out a form
The contact form and the "see quotes" links work differently, since both involve sending something. A message through our contact page hands us the name, email address, and text you typed, solely so a person can write back. Quote links route through partner tracking so an insurer knows we referred you and, in some cases, pays us a fee for it; we don't see your quote details or anything you enter once you leave this site.
Cookies, ads, and that banner on your first visit
Google and its ad partners set cookies here to choose which ads to show and to measure whether they worked, which is standard for an ad-supported site. Visitors from the EU, UK, or Switzerland get a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set; everyone else gets a default they can change any time by clearing cookies for this domain in their browser. To turn off personalized Google ads specifically, use Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, or check the wider opt-out list at aboutads.info.
Traffic measurement
We run Google Analytics to see which guides get read, using aggregated numbers rather than anything tied to your name. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on blocks this at the source if you'd rather not be counted.
Who else sees this information
Nobody buys the information you type into our forms; it isn't for sale, full stop. It does pass through the vendors that keep the site running, our form-delivery, hosting, advertising, and analytics providers, but only for those specific jobs, and only for as long as a message needs a reply or the law requires a record.
Your rights, depending on where you live
A number of US states and other regions give you the right to see, correct, delete, or limit how we use your personal data, and to opt out of having it sold or shared for advertising. Wherever you're located, the contact page is the place to ask; tell us what you'd like and we'll work out what applies to your situation.
One note on age
This site is built for adult pet owners, not children, and we don't knowingly gather information from anyone under 13. If that ever happens by mistake, let us know and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes
When we revise this page, the "last updated" date at the top moves forward to reflect it. Questions about any of this, or about your own data, go to the contact page.
